‘The Massacre at Paris’ is about the conflict between the Catholics and Protestants in Europe during the 16th century. The story of the play is based on the real events on St Bartholomew’s day in 1574.

The concept for the show was to lean in to the religious imagery and the dusky, bloody colours mentioned in the script.
